That's entirely up to the narrator you can do it ether way. If you do it as a simple contest you have to decide what level of victory puts them to sleep. You probably need at least a major victory. But again that is up to you to decide. You could make it any victor level puts them to sleep but that is quite powerful.

As an extended contest its simpler as you are just reducing AP as you make them feel sleeper and sleeper. Any grievous wound caused can be interpreted as them struggling to maintain concentration. Any victory better than dazed = sleep
The only time it has happened in our game the healer put all her AP's behind the spell [1W] against the Broo that was about to slice her and won. Result one sleeping Broo.

Well treat them as an unrelated action and use a simple contest to resolve it. The main thing about this system is its flexibility.

Were you using the -3 per extra opponent. So the first Broo would be defended against using his full 5W, the next 2W, the third 19, by the sixth attacker has a shot he is down to defending with a skill of 10 and should be either getting worried or feeling down right heroic.
