Okay, I'm confused then. (I'll be making examples out of my head here at work; don't have my book in front of me, don't know if these are valid, bear with me.) If I am an initiate of Ormalaya Adventurous, I can develop an ability rating in the Combat and Movement Affinities of Orlanth Adventurous, and I can develop an ability rating in the Hunting Affinity of Ormalaya the Hunter; if I want to use a feat from any of my Orlanth Adventurous or Ormalaya the Hunter affinities, I must take an improvisational penalty.

Now, if I am an initiate of Uralda the Cow Mother, I can develop ability ratings in Esrola's Bless Animals and Bless Plants Affinities, and I can develop an ability rating in Uralda's affinity (don't remember what it is at this time). If I want to use a feat from any of my Esrola the Barleymother or Uralda the Cow Mother affinities on something other than a cow, I take an improvisational penalty. If I want to use a feat from any of my Esrola the Barleymother or Uralda the Cow Mother affinities on a cow, I do not need to take an improvisational penalty. How does this limit my Uralda affinity if it only affects cows in the first place?
