All very true, and creating fertile ground for adventuring.

Dormal's home waters were, however, the placid, landlocked Mirrorsea, for which triremes and the like are admirably suited. I agree completely that journeying out of sight of land in a trireme is difficult and dangerous, and this is surely how it's meant to be.
