Hmm. How about Princess Mononoke? I think its perfect for some of the old-world spirits and forests.

Labrynith is a good movie about heroquesting, I think. Gormenghast is good for a twitchy Brithini colony up in the godless wilderness.

I'd suggest things like Gladiator for the Lunars. The fight with the Germans at the start is priceless.

But that's just my probably off kilter list. Others will tell more mainstream movies
