Trying to remember Dorasar's family background without having KoS with me in work, and failing...
as I recall, his paternal family was the Sartar dynasty. Where was his mum from? Garhound might not be Sartarite at all. And *that* might explain where we get titles like "Sir" and "Duke" from: not very Sartarite! What cultures do use hounds?
Must remember to look up KoS for the family tree tonight.
It would be nice to borrow a bit of the Gelert story for the Garhound, perhaps?
