FWIW, here is a paragraph from the background section of the Yanafal character in Birth of the Goddess*:

"You are the son of Lantafar Tarnils, erstwhile satrap of Yuthuppa. Born to a Dara Happan father and a Rinliddi mother, you were raised in a court which stressed honour and progress. Educated as befitted a Dara Happan nobleman, you nonetheless were exposed both to the Rinliddi ways of your mother and many of Yuthuppa's people as well as to the culture of the Carmanians who ruled you. Indeed, you found yourself drawn to Hum'Akt, the stern and honourable Carmanian god of war and death. After all, there was no doubt that, while learning from your father in preparation to succeeding him as satrap, you would also be a warrior and general."

All the best
