In 1619, the Lunar Empire invaded Heortland, one of the six parts of the Holy Country. Whitewall is the last centre of resistance to the Empire.

Rikard begins in 1616 after the death of the old king. And although it is Heortland, he calls it the Kingdom of Malkonwal.

Broyan becomes king in 1616. He does not rule all of Heortland, only the Volsaxi confederation.
