Not Tarsh either, yellow spear. The Far Place is an independent dukedom. Tarsh desires its allegiance as of old, but Harvar has other masters. And other plans. :)

I've always played the Far Place as speaking Tarshite. Alda Chur, given its nature is comfortable with Tradetalk.

Oz is as much Irish English as anything - plus some English regionals and Cockney. Later development was almost entirely due to the fact you dare not move your mouth when the air is thick with flies ('daaaaaii moooit'), and the all-encompassing fear of being mistaken for a New Zealander.
