Ah, but what if it's really, really true, but the truth has been packed away in the family dirt closet and both sides want to deny the obvious? (A hypothetical question btw, only tangentially related to the question you're discussing).

Poking around in the Red Goddess' ancestry you'll find some suspiciously elusive stormy characters. I once 'explored' the Orlanth-RG sibling relationship in a session with Greg at RQ Con Down Under. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) it was the last day of the con, we went on to celebrate with our many guests, and I've now forgotten the argument, socan neither confirm nor deny if it was actually coherent. :) Those of you who've been to a few cons will surely recognise this all-too-familiar pattern of events. It may yet surface in my of my periodic dives into ancient campaign notebooks. There's a tantalising fragment (or is it?) in the 'Ask Greg' Q&A segment published in QL2, where he affirms the presence of an (unnamed) female sibling of Orlanth active in the middle air.

It does make a kind of poetic sense, and is no doubt a popular White Moonie heresy in the south. The Hero Wars are between brother and sister.

No, seriously... :)
