You've got to be careful in these scales - if you've characters who have been through (currently) 148 sessions give or take, over 4 years game time, with maybe an average of 6HP a session and various HeroQuest gifts they get scary even if you penalise the costs of double masteries or higher.

As an example of when they get way out of control - a Yinkini devotee was throwing a party in celebration of Yinkin as a lover. As the scores grew higher (there's a whole Ulerian sub-text going on in the campaign - sorry), I set a challenge of W9 for Yinkin to come calling in defiance of the Compromise, because it seemed necessary - err, they passed it.

I in effect still use the HeroWars rules, so augments come relatively thick and fast, which is one reason for this.

Combat-wise they probably aren't quite so badly out of control, but still.

Oh, and the "classic" timeline is creaking a lot!

In short - scale it to your PCs and what you think they should be able to achieve.
