We knew them as 'Pizza Pies' in New Zealand when I was young. This was in the 70s and 80s, prior to the introduction of Pizza Hut and the advent of pizzas as a fast-food. In fact I was told that 'pizza' was Italian for 'pie'.

Note that the concept of pie as a dessert was (and, to some extent, still is) almost unknown here.
