Flattering, but not really true. There are quite a few RQ3 write-ups for Vinga, some of which pre-date mine and some of which took it as a starting point (and some which are probably entirely independent). Mine is just the one that got into hard-copy.

Before it went public, in fact. Though back then it was only Orlanth Adventurous who was male-only: and as he's also Orlanth the Teenage Layabout and Seducer, that made sense to me.

And some background in some of the freeforms. (There's a collection of Vingan source material attached to the cult write-up on my site, for anyone who really wants the nit-picking detail). And a LOT of help from other people: Joerg, Steve Martin, Pam Carlson, and many others.

John Hughes is probably the authority these days. Read his Cradledaughter stories for what it's really like to be a Vingan.

I'd quite like to know myself. As far as I'm concerned, they don't. I *think* that was a Dave Dunham idea, though I may be wrong.
