Mahome is *not* Ernalda, but certainly not "important" enough to be worshipped on her own. She is, in fact, one of Ernalda's Handmaidens who left the firetribe with E. when she went to Orlanth (Visions 81, last paragraph). Hints in TR 189 that she is not Ernalda:

*her husband Barntar*, *She was only sleeping (like Ernalda)*
