Pah, I'm not resigning Dramatically and Publically - after all that would give people some small nugget of fact on which to base their paranoid fantasies as to the fate of the free world, the collapse of the global economy, the existence of God, and the eventual publication date of HQ 2.0

Instead I shall maintain a dignified silence as to my involvement, or otherwise in any or all of the above, allowing the poor deluded fools (not you, dear reader, obviously - the *other* poor deluded fools) to assume that I am continuing to fulfil whatever vitally important role they thought I was carrying out in the first place.

Like Ian, mine is a "win-win" scenario. In the event of the Free world being saved, the global economy taking an upturn, God manifesting in Picadilly Circus, or (however unlikely it may seem) HQ2 arriving before the end of the year, all those people who wish to attribute any part of this to me will be more than welcome to do so. If these things don't happen, I can truthfully answer any critics that my involvement in such matters ended years ago, if not earlier...

Maybe we should write the names of all the list members on a numbered list, then roll suitable dice each month to pick out a scapegoat to blame for the non-appearance of HQ2 in our FLGS - and one lucky person would be able to take all the (undeserved) credit when the book did eventually turn up!
