This is how we did it in our game. My players have made substantial use of Plot Augments (which are often as difficult and dangerous as the task they are trying to augment; to get Orlanth's blessing for an upcoming duel, one group decided to offer a sacrifice to Orlanth atop Thunderer's Ridge in Occupied Boldhome).
