Mmm... I should have specified "Orlanthi All". What I found interesting was that the default seemed to be elements and even the "other options" were also elements.

Hmm... That's another thought. All people have an elemental rune, but in some cultures that tends to group with class or gender, and in others it just doesn't.

I'm torn on this.
I do see an appeal for a Glorantha-wide "everyone knows everyone has runes" - it puts them front and center in an interesting way and they are very Gloranthan.
Now, since I think many religions/societies are fairly mixed, that many know how to draw on a rune connection for simple aid to mundane acts would make some sense.
