Ok, stop right there.
The way it works in wolves, for instance is that the leading pair reproduce, and nobody else. It is symmetrical for both males and females.
There is no point in assuming assymetry for grotagons, especially as we've had no indication that either sex would for instance be bigger than the other.
Modern human males often get into their heads that men compete for females. I recommend looking outside that very narrow and misleading viewpoint.
