Iron and Von Mountains

Hello everybody,
in an old mail (
http://www.rpglist.org/pipermail/glorantha/2005-March/018777.html) it is written that there are no dwarves mining in the Von Mountains, is that true?

Is there anything to read about who manages the mines (I guess the Lunars) and other informations on that topic?

I would start a campaign involving the Iron mined in the Von Mountains with my group of players in Oraya
