To me it still reads like always. Lodril is not a pure fire god, but one who has gotten entangled with the earth. The square with a dot [o] rune looks like a cross between fire and earth, and I see no reason to say that instead of mixed fire and earth he's suddenly all earth. It smacks of reductionism to hammer things into the shape of the system. Yinkin has a combo rune, so why not treat Lodril the same. As those quotes repeatedly pointed out, he is no longer a pure being,
