Verithurusa is the Red Goddess in the Golden Age and her cult appears in ILH-2.

Mernita is in what is now called the Blue Moon Plateau. Jernotius lived in Mount Jernalf some distance away. While the names are similar, the myths are not. Jernotius teaches wisdom. Verithurusa tries to find out what makes the Rebels tick and gets corrupted and eventually cast down from the Sky.

Or perhaps Plentonius didn't want to admit the existence of a daughter of Yelm and changed the names slightly.
