Lodril lives in Dara Happa.

The God Learners never got anywhere near Dara Happa.

Ergo - the God Learners didn't have a clue what Lodril was like and guessed.

As previously written, Lodril's writeup used the assumption that not only was he worshipped in Dara Happa, but also in Caladraland, Teshnos and Pamaltela. To be fair that assumption was in the process of being jettisoned and you can see the developing thinking in the writeup in the Cults Compendium. Now Lodril won't be as lava centred as before.

Lodril will always have some residual remnants of the fire rune - the Dara Happans know that from their mythology. In addition, there will be some overlap with Turos who isn't quite as earthly as Lodril.
