Yes, it's very similar to Wales where I've walked. Sartar has probably more paths and roads because its more settled than most of Wales is today.

There are old mines in North Wales where the village where the miners lived was several miles from the mine. The miners walked to work, did a full shift and walked back every day.

If you are talking about completely untracked wilderness then yes it will slow a walker down a lot. But Sartar isn't like that.
