Though remember that the crazy prices of RQ3 played a significant part in killing the game, at least in the UK market.

Back in 1981 I was able to buy the RQ2 box with saved allowance for (I think) £10. RQ3 came along and cost about £40, completely forcing the game out of my reach, and pretty much every kid's reach. It took a long time before that cost and the dreadful initial supplements damage was repaired.
