It's flawed as the transformation is based on the old idea of RQ3 rune magics: "Practitioners of Pralor begin to learn how to shapechange between elk and human. This ability is first gained upon initiation into adulthood and is increased each year and at special yearly ceremonies, where prey elk spirits offer themselves up to predator human spirits. Each spirit consumed allows the transformation of another body part. Similar rituals and ceremonies exist for elk to become human as well. A practitioner can use his shapechanged abilities at will, which manifest as an elk (or human) part."

The Tradition is very HQ1 as well (obviously), the animism section of HQ2 is a better and simpler basis for the Hsunchen Tradition.

My take on Hsunchen transformation is that you can do it quicker and stay changed for longer with more skill. Not, you only transform a bit until you've learnt it all. Initiation into the tradition would definitely be the starting point for doing it.
