Since a Praxian queen is not necessarily married to the khan, I wouldn't really want that baggage if anyone ever looked the word up.
And that is why the canonical term is "queen". A sable queen is very different from a Turkic "khanum". Moreover, "khan" itself is just a trranslation as well.
