Troop Types

Hi All;

Nick Brooke <100270.337_at_compuserve.com> discussed Lunar troop types to which I must add that early Roman armies were armed much like Greeks with spearmen in phalanxes, and several classes of spearmen - featuring heavier armour on the wealthier troops, the evolution of the uniformly equipped Legion equipped with pilum (heavy javelin) and skilled swordsmanship was relatively late in the piece around the time of the class wars (?).

The Lunar army appears to resemble neither type of Roman army as it has the standing nature of the later army, and the equipment of the earlier one.
