KOW as an openhandist plot.

All the talks of War Machines and Mostali connections to the KOW set me thinking. Suppose KOW is a Mostali War Machine - intended to eradicate human interference in the repair of the World Machine? It's a suitably openhandist strategy - use outsiders to achieve your aims without concerning yourself for their welfare.

The KOW have been culturally engineered (perhaps LDoaH is a mostali construct?) to expand ever outwards, consuming all resources in their path. The plan is that the KOW is intended to collapse eventually, but not before it has achieved certain aims of the mostali.

This would also explain the dehimanised nature of KOW culture. It has been forced into an analogue of a mostali factory - in this case a factory producing war and death.
