In Digest #264 Neil Smith asks "Why can't morokanth throw rocks?"
IMO the lack of thumb is a significant hindrance. Even if the structure of
Morokanth claws allowed then to grasp a stone between their claws the
process of getting one there would be so arduous as to make it impractical.
As I understand it Morokanth spears are equipped with a wrist strap or loop,
like the spears RQ2 Baboons use. The strap allows a gripless morokanth to
thrust and withdraw the spear. The claws are used to aim and steady the weapon.
Droopsnout always uses his spear (a modified Naginata actually) two-clawed,
from the second rank, and suffers limited mobility. Same with his Morokanth
greatsword. (It's sometimes an advantage to game with engineers)
