Lunar Tomatoes

Another reason to have tomatoes as a favourite fruit of the Lunars:
_

BBC TV News recently ran a story about an Asian family in Bradford, West Yorkshire, whose house has become a site of pilgrimage for Britain's Muslim community since a daughter of the family cut open a tomato to reveal the word "Allah" in Arabic clearly visible in the swirls of flesh within.
_

There has to be a scenario in this - the local Lunar garrison are growing tomatoes in the grounds of their fort, a few go "over the pallisade" to the local Sartarite innkeeper and lo and behold when one is cut the words "Victory to the Red Mother who masters demons and drives her enemies before her like chaff before the wind"(1) are revealed within.
_

Before long a quiet backwater area of Sartar is over-run by fanatical Lunar pilgrims laying plans for a new Temple of the Reaching Moon!(2)
_

Actually, it's just occured to me that, if you cut a tomato in half along the right axis, you get something that looks like a moon rune.
_

Notes:
(1) Written New Pelorian is a very concise language. (2) These same fanatics will insist on the local garrison marching barefoot as the recently-delivered consignment of marching sandals bears a locally-applied inscribed decoration which looks suspiciously like the verse "The name of the Red Goddess be emblazened across the heavens by the souls of the righteous"(3) which must not be soiled by contact with the rude earth. (3) See note (1) above.
