Greetings all,

Remember the first hardback edition of the ol' D&D rule book? The one with the tables and tables of stats for polearms? Did any of you out there spend days and days generating polearmed armies, and agonise for weeks about exactly what type of long, thin pointy thing your PC was carrying?

Seems to me that you still haven't got over it!!! Can some-one _please_ explain to me what the fascination is with polearms in RPGs???? Does it really matter that much what shape the pole is that skewers an opponent as long as they don't get up again afterwards?

Or is it just that Freud was right?

Yours,

Marion
