IMG I had their attempts at following the rules of logic fundimentally flawed, so that they could never gain the immortality that they sought. The Zzaburi knew/developed a special ritual where the subject of the ritual could sacrifice one POW and not age for the next year. This gives the Zzaburi significant power as they usually had the POW to sacrifice and could "guide" other petitioners to right and proper action. Action that usually benefited them.

The one family of Talars that are left automatically have access to the ritual in respect of their station, but they have been cut off at the knees politically. Horals and Dronals stay young for a while, but seem to usually succumb to "Soul Waste" in their 50's or 60's. The PC healer suffered from great frustration trying to cure a plague that wasn't there.
