Kinda Unfair

Julian opines:

> Then, AH hired Dave Dobyski, and the rest is history.

You mean: "Then, AH used their employee Dave Dobyski to produce el cheapo illo's for a coupla supplements. Afterwards, they saw sense, and used him for his *real* job -- making maps, which he does just fine. They hired the great Ken Rolston to edit their RQ line. With Ken at the helm, they published some damn' fine products: "Sun County", "River of Cradles", "Shadows on the Borderlands", "Strangers in Prax" -- some of it rather heavy on the reprint front, but nonetheless better and more playable than any of the previous AH RQ Glorantha releases. Then, after the RQ4 project was squelched in '94, and Ken Rolston left AH thereafter, the line petered out, and the Chaosium/Avalon Hill business relationship foundered on the rocks of mutual mistrust and recrimination. The rest is history."

Kinda fairer than typifying every product after the Dobyski Incident as tarred by that *particularly* tarry brush.

(If you never saw "Sun County," "River of Cradles," etc. in France, do your best to get ahold of copies: these are the bee's knees).
