To me, this is one of the better reasons why HW and Issaries Inc have a far better chance of working where Chaosium and RQ didn't. It truly amazed me when I found out that there never was a business plan (or seemingly anything remotely like it) in the past. And yet IN SPITE of that Chaosium was able to launch and support RQ and Glorantha with the success that they had. Add the Avalon Hill era to the mix and I wonder why any of us stayed around and kept Glorantha alive. I know that many people out there still exist who want to role play in Glorantha, and it's my opinion that you will be able to find as many newbies today as we once were back in the RQ heyday who will be just as interested in Glorantha. Couple this with a proper business/marketing plan and I give success of HW a great chance. Once upon a time I thought that I enjoyed playing RQ/ Glorantha because of the RQ aspect. While I am mostly a lurker on the digest and certainly don't live and breath Glorantha the way many digest subscribers do, I have realized after attending a few cons, talking with others that Glorantha is the real gold nugget.
