The eternal ballad of the plains....

Hi All,

I thought I'd forward an old turn message from Daniel Faheys Nomad Gods PBEM game. This is by way of evangelising NG to those of you who have never played/seen it. NG (and Daniels PBEM in particular) really catches the feel of Prax. The Oriflam edition of NG (and DP) is still available from Chaosium, direct from Oriflam and at selected Games stores near you.

For some backgroud to previous events (completely unbiased ;-). Some time back Morokanth and Bison tribes together reduced New Pavis to ruins (heh, good bye to the stone-tents). Moro and Bison have been in a pretty stable long-term alliance [for Prax]. This is bad news for Sable who is fighting both these tribes around the Head Acres. Even worse for Sable, Bison has summoned the mighty spirit of Oakfed to lead his attack...Sable has friendly relations with Impala, unfortunately this is of less use at the moment as the Impala are camped in the North East around Moon Broth. Only the Haughty and foolish Llama have been rash enough to tackle the Mighty, Mighty Impala nation, Beloved of Eiritha, first Sons of Waha ! in their chosen grazing grounds. And this despite the summoning of Gagarth the Wild Hunter by the Storm Impala...What will be sung of in years to come, well...

Over to Dr. Jaldon Fahey......

[end 13th and begin 14th turn]

Greetings Praxians!

Exotic stuff:
Raven flew to the Sable stack 2n,1nw Agape but found nothing to steal.

Battles in turn eleven:

There was fighting between the Sable and Bison between Biggle, Old, and Agape. The Shamans fought, and the Bison Shaman was destroyed by his opponent. Oakfed torched the Cannibal Cult but was himself defeated by magic. At this time I am assuming that Good Shepherd saves Oakfed, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. The Bison lost their Founder and Ancestors while destroying the Sable Shaman and the Rhino-Riders. Many clans were lost.

Sable and Moro also met just east of the Paps in a fierce battle leaving the Sable nearly wiped out but the Moro in the area cut by half.

Llama has again attacked Impala near Moonbroth. Wild Hunter tore up three 356 clans and the Llama Khan. In other magical events the Llama Founder was destroyed but took two Impala clans with him. At this point the Llama realised that they didn't have enuf guys keft to beat thru Wild Hunter's guard, and so they retreated leaving a Shade and Bull Part as cover. The Bull Part was killed.
*The two Impala selected as casualties were 1**26 clans as Llama is vulnerable to missiles.

Other good news is that Bison has attacked broos at both Cam's Well and Malia's Stool, successfully disinfecting both sites while losing no-one. Two Medicine Bundles were recovered and are currently being cleansed of filth.

end of turn thirteen

start of turn fourteen

Random Movement:

The Eternal Battle has moved to 1sw of Malia's Stool, absorbing a slave caravan on the way and a Bison clan.

There is chaos near the Block.

A Wildfire is 3S,1SE of Hender's. Have fun!

Llama's former Shade attacked Impala, smothered Sun Hawk, and was captured by Wild Hunter and added to Impala's forces.

Summonings and Alliances:

Morning Star has risen in the East above Horn Gate to help the Sable tribe.

Impala summoned his eliminated Ancestors at Moonbroth. He used a captured Llama Herd as sacrifice.

Cheers - Chris.

ps Victory to the Impala!

   Ia Gagarth !
   We Arra Pea-pel !
