A sideline remark about Humakti severance: most respondants on this
subject seem to assume that a Humakti severs at initiation AND THEN
finds something suitable to do. Perhaps this is the wrong way around.
Perhaps a more typical way would be for a housecarl's son, or a
strapping farmer's lad (who's father is well connected), to be taken
on as a housecarl AND THEN realises that Humakt calls him.
