I think there are plenty of examples of Praxians who have left Prax - mostly to raid admittedly, but several times to become part of the culture that they invaded - I'm thinking of some Bison riders who became the lords of part of Peloria for a bit, the Sable People of Hungry Plateau.

I think this depends on what you are interested in. Both games could be very tedious but both also have potential to be well done. They would be different but they could both be interesting. I would start by getting rid if the 'average' part of your description. No one is really average (except, of course trollkin no. 15, who is an 'average' trollkin).
