For campaigns where you want to go stomping around with Harrek and Argrath, yes, it is a good thing. If you are busy defending the stead against raiding neighbors, you don't do that. Your choice, the game will not dictate. Just like in D&D, progression can be very slow, or very fast, it just depends on the person running the game and at what level you want to play it. RQ pretty much dictated one speed, slow. HW allows both slow and fast.

I was referring to the list in the rules, not Doyle's. Alex's list looks much like the list already in the rules.

I agree, it would be odd to assume that, which is why playtesters should take their questions and complaints to Greg first, before giving misinformation to the list. It does cause confusion and shouldn't have to be cleared up on the list.
Please, if you have some version of the rules and have questions or complaints, take them to Greg first. That's all I'm asking. If the response doesn't satisfy you feel free to complain until your fingers turn blue, but get the facts first.
