Ian Thomson:

On Pavisite languages and their popularity.

>I am guessing:
>Pavic

is the same as Old Pavic which you list later on.

>Sartarite

Sartarite would be more popular than Old Pavic since most of the scum of New Pavis are Sartarites.

>Trade

Trade is not a mother tongue for anyone. It's a sort of a magical pidgin.

>and where does Auld Wyrmish come in?

Auld Wyrmish was the official tongue of the EWF and Old Pavic was very similar to the vulgate tongue. Although Auld Wyrmish was the speech spoken by the Dragonewts and Old Pavic a theyalan language, the later did pick up a large amount of Draconic influences and that is why speakers of Old Pavic have some basic grasp of Auld Wyrmish.
