While I have no intrinsic objection to such people singing the Gloranthan equivalent of christmas carols or any of the things you mention, I do feel that balance between light and darkness need not involve a 50:50 split.
While they certainly have Light Duties that they must perform to keep the Viziers happy, I think some lattitude is allowable for extreme occupations.
Makes you wonder what Carmanian hospitals or brothels are like, tho.
