Query: is it anonymous posting if you use only a partial name? Also, why is it OK for Terra Incognita and others to post using pseudonyms? Are AOL (a/k/a the world's largest anonymous remailer) usernames OK? It seems that the new rule 4 arose because someone with the power to adopt new rules disliked something posted anonymously. Now that some time has passed since that incident, perhaps we should have re-consideration of the need for that rule.

I'm setting my phaser to "deep fat fry."

I like this bit quite a lot. It reminds me somewhat of the village seasonal spirits in Imther. I generally agree with all of it, though perhaps we should distinguish between Fertility and Harmony; Love doesn't necessarily mean peace or even good relations. With Uleria in charge, the passion of love reigns uppermost in all its forms: parent-child, lover-lover, brother-brother, you name it. Unfortunately, Jealousy and Possessiveness are handmaidens to Love. It would be counterproductive at some point to over-emphasize Love, just as emphasizing War quickly reaches a point of diminishing returns. Good social relations are part of the Harmony rune (e.g., city gods) and the Trade rune. I'm not saying that everyone will instantly become green-eyed with jealousy immediately after Uleria becomes a focus of the clan. I am saying that people with a tendency toward unhealthy relationships will indulge that tendency, becoming just like they've always been, but moreso.

Here's mine: no allied spirit. Or, if you don't like that, here's two more:

  1. use awakened dove as allied spirit. I believe this is from the official write-up, long version.
  2. Tilntae (Fertility demon). I would make this rare and special as an allied spirit, accomplished only after much heroquesting. I don't know what these look like or what they can do, though I suppose one could imagine they're pretty sexy. Tilntae are better used as otherworld beings not permanently bound. I do believe that Priestesses of Uleria can summon them, but once they're summoned they are free-willed unless Commanded.
