The East Wild Orlanthi hate and despise the Safelstrans of the City States, they venerate Arkat (which is pretty bad), they are a breeding ground for Chaos (Boristi, Guild of Chaos Monks etc... would all be seen as being strictly Chaotic in the East Wild orlanthi eyes), they worship Darkness gods in Naskorion of all things, and probably have their hands on better land and farming territories than the Orlanthi in the East Wilds, which I never really imagined as being an overly fertile region. The East Wilds has precious little relations with the City States
>2. There does not seem to be a real "enemy" in the region like the Lunars
>for Prax/Dragon Pass or the Kingdom of War for the Janube river cities.
>Does Ralios have anyone that fits that niche?
I don't think that there is truly anything that quite fits the bill. Everyplace has lots of enemies it seems in Ralios, for the East Wilds I think Naskorion is best, the trolls are Halikiv are a good possibility, Hsunchen and maybe the Aldryami of Winterwood (although I can't remember my Ralian geography perfectly, they might be a bit far away). I think that in Ralios you've got this mood of shaodwy shifting politics, one minute you might be at war with Naskorion, the next you are allies fighting the trolls of Halikiv and the next after you've teamed up with Galin to jump Marost...
>3. Do the Orlanthi of Ralios have any contact with Orlanthi outside their
>region?
No. I think they barely have contact within themselves. I think Aeolian's fleeing Lunar rule may end up in Ralios, but this isn't really a large number of people. amd doesn't really count as contact.
>4. Is there any Malkioni influence in the East Wilds Orlanthi culture?
No! In Lankst there are Orlanthi converions taking place because the religion they are converting to is a lot like the Orlanthi religion i.e. they both venerate Storm Gods. But in the case of the East Wilds, the only Malkioni influences they are likely to feel are from Naskorion (basically influenced by Darkness gods and Darkness worshippers) and Galin (basically light worshippers). I can't imagine Aeolian or Henotheistic churches having much influence on them.
All IMO,
Nikk
