In Sandy's current RQ campaign, we once ran up against a Gift Carrier of the Sending Gods, a gigantic, leechlike being. For this encounter, Sandy used the stats of a CoC dhole. I believe that this was a unique creature, not a member of a race of dhole-like beings.

We found the artifact and its guardian in the ruins of Noloswal (I think it was Noloswal, but I could be mistaken). The artifact could take magic points or POW and make material objects out of them. We used a sylph to grab the artifact and skedaddled to our ship. We sailed back to deliver the artifact to a wizard who had "geased" us into performing a service for him. We wouldn't have told the wizard about the dhole that was following a few hours behind us, but one of our party members ratted us out. The last we saw of the wizard (and, a bit later, the dhole), he was headed for Bad Deal at top speed.
