From another angle, as Peter mentioned earlier in this discussion, theistic worship of antigods (foreign or native) sends you down the scale of Consciousness. Worship of the Parloth doesn't improve your consciousness like mystic practices do, but it doesn't make it worse either. It is thus suitable for those who, for whatever reason, cannot take up the life of a mystic.
