Martin: it's nice to read that someone out there knows the difference between S and N Italy!.
I stress that I did not referred to the whole Lunar Politics, but to the little bit showed up in Praxian Government, but I agree and thank you for most of your caveas.
Peter: I suppose the Army in Prax is antilocal because they are most eager to fight the nomads, not to understand them (it's their job after all); if they are Orlanthi convertees, they could be even more integralistic oriented than their converters themselves!
I do not think illuminates do not use chaos, but I assume illuminates in Prax understand that the open employ of chaos is politically unocrrect, even if useful (whereas the scythes are less skeptical on this subject). The hearthlander illuminates, IMG, have a paternalistical attitude toward the Praxians, so that they choose not to openly antagonize them because it would be a vile confrontation, in the end.
I think that the two parties, more than modern political factions, are best intended as the labels by which the most acculturated non-Lunars would perceive the Lunar Politics in Prax (not the whole LunarWay neither the whole Lunar Citizenry).
Ciao
Gian
