Bloodlines and Households

I always thought that bloodlines where everyone who claims descent from a particular person. A persons bloodline would influence who can and can't marry, inheritance and weregild.  Where as household was everyone who had excepted leadership from a particular person and usually live to close together in a stead or further apart in an isolated farm, these households could be of mixed bloodlines. The household was responsible for things coordinating defense and land \ animal allotment.
