Cultures and underlying reality

M. Cule talking about the comparisons between different cultures tests for unborn life:

"...anyway why do people assume

  1. that different cultures tests will give different results?
  2. that there isn't some actual reality that the various rituals are tapping into?"

(a) Even if the magic churned out identical physical results, I doubt
whether different cultures would interpret them in the same way. Perhaps the Soul Sight test you and Alex have been talking about is like a pregnancy test: It tells the caster if the subject is pregnant, but doesn't provide immediate insight into the spiritual status or right to life of the unborn sprog.

(b) Somehow, Glorantha being Glorantha, I doubt there is any fundamental
reality on principle. (~mumble, mumble, mutter about the good ol' days when pregnant women didn't exist 'cause it was girly~)

Cheers,

Ash
