Alex sez of Sheng:

o He flubs on the final hurdle, and so does not achieve

Liberation, Awakening, Enlightment, or Whatever, but merely    Hideous Temporal Power. (Though if it was sold to him    as 'King of the World', he should maybe get his money back.)

Sheng might have pulled it off if he'd kept his feet on the ground. By setting foot on the Moon he voided his warranty. =)

"Duckless" GAZZA asks:

>Finally, has anyone got any good ideas for Storm Bull myths?

There should certainly be at least one myth linking Storm Bull with each of his associated cults...The Gift of Orlanth's Shield, Storm Bull Learns the Meaning of Fear from Zorak Zoran, etc. plus any cult that Storm Bull is associated to will have myths. Drastic: Prax and the Prax issues of Tales had some stories.

Btw, who protects the Lismelder from Delecti then? =)

Sugared Eels--(with excuses to Izzak Walton)

"First, wash him in water and salt; then pull off his skin below his vent--, and not much further; having done that, take out his guts as clean as you can, but wash him not: Then give him three or four scotches with a knife; and then put into his belly and those scotches sweet herbs*, an anchovy, and a little nutmeg grated or cut very small; and your herbs and anchovies must also be cut very small, and mixed with good butter and sugar: having done this, then pull his skin back over him all but his head which you are to tie to his tail with tape and packet thread so he seems to bite his tail, and roast him leisurely, and baste him well with water and sugar till his skin breaks, and then with butter: and having roasted him enough, let what was put into his belly, and what he drips, be his sauce."

"I believe the sweet herbs mentioned above to be thyme, basil, and tarragon. The uncooth Orlanthi say that to serve eels in this fashion, tied in a loop, invites ill-luck...typical barbarian nonsense!"
