Why not? We were talking about a collective rating for 28 of them: that's only a little more than 3AP per capita.

Clearly it's not _just_ a statistical game, but one would be foolish to ignore that in Hero Wars, Min-Maxing _is_ Statistics. And it's meaningless to assess a situation probabilistically without taking account of sensible betting strategy. (Though on Keith's numbers, the Hero was hosed anyway, frankly.)

I agree. The rules soft-pedal this somewhat, but to get somewhat Raaterovian for a moment, I'd say "No description: default bet; inappropriate description to the stated bet size: summary GM fiat as to the 'correction' applied to the latter."
