I'm curious on this point... looking beyond just gender and sexuality,
on the broader point of culture, is it pretty much the consensus of
this Digest that there isn't strong division between these two groups?
In other words, have the Lunars and the Yelmites pretty much learned
how to get along, indeed even blend together?
Is there is division, what form does it take?

On the point of types of homosexuality: I just (ok, a few months ago)
read an excellent book with a title along the lines of 'Bisexuality in
Greece and Rome'. The discussion of Greece corresponds closely to the
first model John mentions, '1. Age structured homosexuality', but Rome
doesn't quite fit any of the 3. Essentially, (classical Republican)
Rome had a 'Power structured homosexuality', wherein a male citizen
had the power to do more-or-less anything he wanted to any
non-citizen, male or female, with essentially no moral opprobrium.

Ok, so much for my model of nudity representing the pure ideal - by
this model, only vile, evil types are represented nude, correct?
One can imagine some quite troubled teenagers developing in this
culture - picture the poor 14-year-old boy, trying to figure out why
he's attracted to the 'evil goddess' of, say, lust.
