I suspect Errinoru for he did circumnavigate the world in the Imperial Age. An alternative possibility might be an Elf Hero from the Elf Sea who sailed up the Arcos and the Poralistor then down the Janube. He then might have taught his magic to the Winterwood elves before sailing onwards and becoming lost in the mists of time.
